Wedding Photography, Dumbarton – Tracey-Marie & John
Right, it’s about time for some wedding photographs on this here wedding blog!
Tracey -Marie & John were married in the lovely registry office in Dumbarton (which, I must say is the nicest registry office I’ve ever seen), with the reception to take place in ‘The Clipper’ a local Dumbarton bar/restaurant now catering to wedding parties.
Now, I have known Tracey-Marie for a number of years & I can safely say she is what you could accurately call……….a real character 🙂 She has a quirky and infectious take on life that’s hard not to admire, with a comical imagination and often surreal sense of humour. Always puts a smile on my face 🙂 Although she was looking to have a more low-key, relaxed and intimate wedding day, I was hoping that she was going to bring some of her imaginative personal touches to the detailing of the day (which can make all the difference to us photographers!). And she didn’t disappoint! 🙂 From the speeches, to the dress, to the cake, to the post-kiss Step Brothers routine (!)- Tracey-Marie & John definitely made it their own day.
I also have to say this – that day – was FREEZING. We decided to go down to Dumbarton castle for some ‘couple-shots’ by the river. There was snow on the hills, the wind could’ve taken your face off, and I never heard either of them complain once. That’s what I like; dedication & elemental endurance! 😉 I’m glad to say we only stayed there for about 10 mins or so, before we bolted for some warm food, warm company and Pac-Man cake!
