Wedding Photography, The Cruin, Loch Lomond – Charlotte & Rob
The (occasionally) sunny shores of Loch Lomond formed the backdrop for the wedding of Rob & Charlotte, at the Cruin near Arden. A great venue with spectacular views of the Loch & quite a few options in terms of photographic backdrops. We were joined by a truly international assortment of family & guests with Scottish, English, French & Dutch representatives, who were all exceedingly friendly & made my job a breeze. At one point I was tempted to use some of my amazing(ly poor) french skills to organise some of the group shots, but wisely refrained….flashbacks to the time I spent 10 minutes trying to order a window in a Geneva restaurant helped that decision.
I loved the fact that Charlotte & Rob were happy to give me free reign with the photography as they trusted my judgement based on the previous work that they had seen. That’s always music to my ears because it means if we get a chance to try something a little bit different or unusual in search of a great shot then I know they will be up for it. We were hampered by the weather somewhat on the day, but we had a nice time playing around on the jetty trying to negotiate the worrying sway, & not forgetting the heel-to-wooden-slat challenges…..I guess guys just don’t fully appreciate these things! 😉
