This was a scientific study into the differences in how a newborn, and how a 2 year old choose to spend their days 😉
Stay tuned until the very end for the casting shoot where Noel gives his full repertoire of acting expressions! 🙂

Some say that newborns don’t really show much personality until they’re a couple of months old.
Check out wee Freya’s range of ‘looks’ in front of the camera, at merely a few days old for proof. I also feel compelled to note that she was the most placid and well behaved young model that I think I’ve ever met.
She also has the neck-strength of a professional wrestler 😉
See HERE for a few of the photographs.
I guess it’s true what they say.
Kids love parks 😉
If you fancy something a little bit different…look no further 🙂
After a few years of living in Scotland, and before their wedding next year in Singapore, Jia & Amanda wanted to celebrate their time here with an engagement shoot in Glasgow and also at the historic Glasgow University campus, in order to have something to look back on to remember their time in Scotland.
What better way to celebrate summer in Scotland than howling winds, extremes of temperature, some extremely funky outfits, a car full of balloons, some voracious midgies, a muddy, bruised photographer, and some broken camera equipment? And don’t forget – lots of laughs 😀
Happy birthday Jane 🙂
Dancing babies eh? What will they come up with next?…. 😉

Believe it or not this was filmed at the start of December. In a t-shirt. So there you go.

A monkey’s head.
A worried-looking caterpillar.

A bouncy chair, a bean bag and a park are all it takes to keep a 2 year old, a 6 week old and a 30*coughcough*something year old photographer happy for a couple of hours 🙂
Sometimes life can bring you down, it can make you thoughtful or moody…………………..
…..then somebody gives you some Schmackos and a ball. 🙂 …………….
One year older; not quite walking; not quite standing; but VERY mobile 🙂
You can see him HERE at age 0.
Meet baby Sophie…..only 6 DAYS old….my youngest ever model! 🙂
You can see photos of her cousin Ava HERE for which we used the same location and many of the same props. Very much the same but also very different – what a huge difference a couple of weeks in age can make!
Running around the woods.
Throwing stuff about.
Jumping off rocks.
What’s not to like? 🙂
I love it when couples say to me, “we really like your style and like the funky, creative and unusual effects that you create – we’d like some of that please!”.
Susan & Andy first met each other on Ashton Lane in Glasgow’s West End & for their pre-wedding shoot, wanted some pictures there. Apart from that I was given free rein over the location and style of the pictures.
Music to my ears…….. 🙂
Boudoir – What it means: [from the French] – “a pleasant or elegantly furnished private room to which a lady may retire to be alone or with partner”
A boudoir photoshoot is obviously a very private thing, which means I don’t often get to shout about it on my blog. What normally happens is that the client will receive an album, to be presented as a cheeky little gift for your partner, for you both to enjoy, or simply for yourself. Let’s face it, when you look as good as you do, you want to remember it! 🙂
The majority of my clients like a relaxed and fun vibe to their photos whatever they may be, and it’s no different for bridal boudoir shoots. A boudoir shoot is an opportunity to make the bride / fiancee / girlfriend look stunning & sensual, so that they can look back on the photos as a reminder of how fantastic they actually looked at the time. The shoots can be as innocent and playful, or as bold and provocative as you want to make them.
Most of my previous boudoir shoots have had a sort of fly on the wall, natural feel to them (see Bridal Boudoir Photographs for some examples) with a hint of suggestiveness about them. I find this way we can create much more original photos, preferably with a touch of narrative and real sense of the bride’s own personality, rather than the very posed and repetitive styles prevalent on the majority of boudoir sites.
However, for this particular shoot we wanted to alter the aesthetic slightly and go for a kind of sexy burlesque feel to show that you can inject a whole heap of the sitter’s own personality and ideas into the theme. The options are really endless and you can use the shoot as an experimental blank sheet. As always though, my main focus is to make the bride or bride-to-be look amazing, keep her relaxed, and allow her enjoy the shoot and feel good about the photos that we are making.
Have a laugh.
Make some striking photographs.
Lucinda & Aidan are over all the way from Canada for their wedding at Loch Lomondside at the weekend. They thought they’d make use of my esteemed services 😉 for a pre-wedding photoshoot to warm up for the wedding.
So, what do you do when faced with a drab, flowerless, winters Glasgow day that presents you with very limited options for beautiful backdrops?……
You take your creative gland…….and you SQUEEEZE it 🙂
Waaaay back at the start of 2012 I ran a competition on my website to win a photoshoot. Linsay & Ritchie, one of my wedding couples from the previous year, were the hard-fought winners 🙂 & decided to use the shoot for their two sons (one who was yet to be born at the time). That shoot took place this weekend and I’m happy to present the results here.
Meet Olly & Harry – a couple of cheeky, smiley wee geezas! (as my cockney friend Shooie might say)
Well said Shooie 😉
Now THIS is what autumn should look like.
